The Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe, has called on graduates of Yusuf Bala Usman College of Education and Legal Studies, Daura, to use their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society. He made the call while representing Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda at the maiden and combined convocation ceremony of the institution on Saturday, February 8, 2025.

In his speech, Malam Jobe emphasized the importance of education as a tool for empowerment, urging graduates to seize opportunities to develop themselves and contribute meaningfully to the state's growth. He reassured them of the government's commitment to improving educational institutions and creating an enabling environment for academic and professional excellence.

"We are committed to empowering students to pursue a future where they are aware and concerned about their lives rather than solely seeking opportunities abroad. I urge all graduates to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead," he stated.

The Deputy Governor also expressed appreciation for the management and staff of the college for their dedication to academic excellence. He encouraged the graduates to uphold discipline, hard work, and ethical values in their respective careers.

The event, attended by dignitaries from across the state, marked a significant milestone in the institution's history, as it celebrated the achievements of its first batch of graduates.
